Biography
After nursing education and several years of nursing practice Prof.Roes studied sociology,philosophy and psychology at the Free University Berlin. She received a research grant from the Robert Bosch Foundation to conduct her PhD (Knowledge Circulation in Nursing Education).Followingthis grant,she worked as a research associate at the Institute for Applied Nursing Research at the University of Bremen.She became a Professor for Nursing Scienceat the University of Applied Science in Bremen; there she was dean of study affairs, and vice-Ââ€rector for education. She worked at the School of Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania on a postdoctoral fellowship funded by the Commonwealth Foundation and the B. Braun Foundation. Now, she is Professor of Nursing Science and Health Care Research at the Faculty for Health at Witten/Herdecke University, and speaker of the German Center of Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) site Witten and senior research group leader.
