Biography
Ilana Chertok is a Professor and Associate Director of the Graduate Division at the UNCC School of Nursing. She has experience mentoring graduate students and healthcare professionals in maternal-infant health research. As an epidemiologist and international maternal-infant health researcher, the primary focus of her research is examining factors influencing maternal-infant health including lactation, gestational diabetes, and smoking in pregnancy. She engages in research in the United States and abroad and has published and presented her work in national and international journals, conferences, and other professional forums.
